Fees:  Counseling can be the most rewarding investment you make in your life.  Essentially all of your life and your choices stand to benefit from better living, insight into what you are choosing, and taking better care of yourself.  Yet too often we neglect our greatest needs in exchange for quick pleasure while costing ourselves mightily in impactful ways now and later on.

Insurance is an often necessary component of seeking health care and understandably so.  I am in-network with numerous insurance companies including; PacificSource, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Behavioral Healthcare, Cigna, and Providence.  The world of insurance is also a complicated one, and one that you need to understand to the best of your ability when utilizing it for your mental health care services.

How insurance utilization will work in our process is explained here.  You will contact your insurance provider to be certain I am in-network with your specific plan.  You will learn all that you need to know about how you will get reimbursed by your insurance company and understand the complexities of it.  I will charge you on the day(s) of service the session fee as agreed upon by us before we begin working together.  That charge will be billed to your debit/credit card provided to me before we begin working together.  It is VERY important to understand that when you book a session with me that you are commiting to attending that meeting.  Of course, things come up in life and adjustments may be necessary, and there is a 24 hour no fee-reschedule/cancellation window to allow for you to do so. But once we are within that 24 hours from the start time of your scheduled appointment, you are responsible for attending and/or paying for that session.

Please understand that my schedule is quite occupied, and my income is generated from these scheduled sessions, thus the above policy is both necessary and entirely standard in the counseling/professional appointment world.  I appreciate your understanding and acceptance of these terms in beginning our work together.  At the end of each month, I will provide you with an invoice that you can then submit to your insurance company for partial or perhaps complete reimbursement.  What happens from there regarding your being reimbursed is entirely between you and your insurance company.

If all of this insurance stuff is unwelcome, or not necessary/applicable and you are willing to pay privately (not use insurance) we can certainly discuss options there as well.  I welcome this prospect and given circumstances can be flexible in the rate that we agree upon.
